    A Holocaust Survivor's Testimony - Benjamin Hirsch. The Holocaust destroyed the families of many Jews in Europe, but a number of survivors made their way to Atlanta to rebuild their lives after the war. Hear a story of pain, courage, and hope from a Holocaust survivor whose willingness to share a difficult personal experience will inspire listeners to respect others, seek justice, and repair the world through everyday actions.     Super Cool Science Magic Show - Craig Anderson. “Technology, Sufficiently Advanced is Indistinguishable from Magic.” Arthur Clarke Author of 2001 – A Space Odyssey. Believing that Science Magicians should always share their secrets, Dr. A shows how to use cryogenics to freeze a banana to use as a hammer.  But wait! Watch what happens when he freezes a balloon! Dr. A entertains as he explains and educates – elaborating on the scientific principles and explaining why they are important to understand and use in every day life.     Preparing for the SAT - TBA. Preparing for the new SAT demands a change in study strategy.  Learn how to write a fast and complete essay, practice identifying math problems by type, and memorize five easy rules for identifying grammar errors.  Students will learn these study strategies and more.  (Room 106) (Workshop Code #FB115)

4:00 Individual session

    “Up Close and INTERACTIVE with Jim Weiss” - Jim Weiss. Master Storyteller and award-winning recording artist, Jim Weiss will present an interactive workshop for teens who want to perfect their stage presence, public speaking skills and style, voice technique, and overall verbal confidence. Participants are asked to bring a 1-2 minute story or poem that they feel comfortable sharing to the workshop. This can be a self-contained segment from a longer story, description of a personal experiene, or narrative. Format will be cozy and very user-friendly! Participants may choose to not "perform" if they'd prefer. (Ballroom A) (Workshop Code #FCBallroom)

    Using the Graphing Calculator – Randi St.Denis. Today’s math students need to know more than the basics. The workplace of the future will require people who can use technology, estimate quantities, and apply mathematics to solve practical and everyday problems. Students will enjoy hands on activities that are easy even for the inexperienced calculator user.   Please bring your own graphing calculator. (Room 105) (Workshop Code #FC113)

    World Views and the Difference They Make - Gary Demar. Every person has a worldview that daily organizes tens of thousands of bits of seemingly unrelated pieces of information and varied experiences. Worldviews have been described as a web of beliefs that we carry around in our heads that becomes an “interconnected system of all that we believe.” (Ballroom A) (Workshop Code #SCBallroom)

1:00 Individual Session

    Math Games – Randi St.Denis. This workshop was especially created for the “I hate Math, Math is Boring” types.  Everyone in the audience will play math games, regardless of their mathematical ability.  Groups of four will be carefully matched and will play board games and math relay races.  Not only will participants learn a lot, in a fun and challenging way, but they will also face a new year of Mathematics with increased confidence and energy.     The Meaning of Life and Other Little Matters - Bryan Wasko (Write at Home). What's it all about anyway? I know I'm living in this body on a planet somewhere in a great big universe. What I'm not so sure about is why? In this workshop, we'll see what the Bible says about the meaning of your teenage existence. (Room 105) (Workshop Code #SD115)

2:00 Finale Session
